Finding a pen pal isn’t particularly easy these days, not least because it’s a rare and beautiful thing to receive letters. That is, unless you have a friend who loves letters.

The Pen Pal Plaza is a way to be introduced to someone who does. You will meet someone who enjoys beautiful art, delicious food, faraway places and sending and receiving letters - because they will also be a subscriber to the Sea Scents Letter Club.

💌 What you'll receive

A gold envelope with the name and address of a Sea Scents Letter Club member who has also signed up to be introduced to a pen pal.

You'll both receive a question to get your conversation started. You may want to ask and answer this question in your first letter to start the conversation. Each person will receive a different question. 

👀 How does it work?

Firstly, you purchase this product - Pen Pal Plaza. In the process, you will be asked again for your name and address.

Your details are firstly checked to confirm you are a club member and then held until the next sign up is received. (Join the Club if you are not yet subscribed.)

When the next sign up is received, you are both advised of each other's details via a gold envelope which arrives via snail mail (our favourite type of mail) 💌🐌. I will also advise you via email that you have a match, so you can anticipate your gold envelope.

💛 Who is it for?

Pen Pal Plaza is open to current subscribers of the Sea Scents Letter Club who are aged 18 years and above. To subscribe, Join the Club. 

🇳🇿 Are there any age or country limitations?

There are no country limitations - Pen Pal Plaza is available to Europe, North America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the rest of the world. This means your new pen pal could be anywhere. Currently, most subscribers are based in Australia, Europe and North America. 

I’m currently unable to meet country requests however this may be an option in future.

To sign up for Pen Pal Plaza you do need to be aged 18 years or above. 

💰One-time purchase

This is a one-time purchase. If you would like to receive another pen pal match, you are welcome to sign up as many times as you like. 

🐌 Postage/ shipping

Your gold envelope with your pen pal match will be sent within 24-48 business hours of a match becoming available.   

This is truly snail mail, because it's coming all the way from New Zealand, which often means a wait of around two to three weeks. You could say it is a lovely excuse to look forward to being surprised by this beautiful gold envelope.
